Ambient Serial Interface w/ GPS Receiver Module

The ACCSI-GPS Serial Interface with GPS Module from Ambient Recording is a universal serial interface which plugs into the 15-pin Sub-D socket of the ACC501 and serves as an interface for the GPS module. It comes with a 6-foot cable attached and can be used to derive position data and universal time (UTC) to jam the internal time code generator. The GPS reference signal of one pulse per second can also be used to calibrate the internal reference oscillator. Thus, it is possible to synchronize cameras anywhere worldwide to well under 0.5 frames offset. Prior to connecting or disconnecting the ACCSI the ACC501 must be turned off.

Main Benefits:

  • Powerful Atmel controller
  • Small enough to be stored in the ACC pouch
  • Attached Sanav GPS module

Overview

ACCSI is a universal serial interface which plugs into the D-sub-15 socket of the Clockit Controller (ACC501) and serves as a interface for the GPS module. Featuring a powerful Atmel controller, it is a future-proof design to adopt various serial interfaces.

Ambient’s GPS module has been kept small enough to be stored in the Clockit Controller pouch (ACC-T).

It comes with a 2-meter cable attached and can be used to derive position data and universal time (UTC) to jam the internal timecode generator. The GPS reference signal of one pulse per second can also be used to calibrate the internal reference oscillator. Thus, it is possible to synchronize cameras anywhere worldwide to well under 0.5 frames offset.
For GPS modules bought after February 2013 the new ACC 501 firmware update is necessary.

RYC039710
The box contains one 19/20 Single Baseball and a Baseball Windjammer. The Baseball greatly reduces the ‘swooshes’ (unwanted noise artifacts caused by laminar airflow across the mic) induced by fast boom swings and other rapid movements. With the Windjammer fitted, the Baseball can also be used outdoors in light winds.
