Többcsatornás keverőjével, két erős auto mixer-jével (Dugan and MixAssist™) és beépített, 16-sávos rögzítőjével a 688-at a sokoldalúságra való nagy keresletre gondolva tervezték.
Kocsin
Nyolc kiosztható kimenete (bal/jobb, X1-X6) nagy routing rugalmasságot biztosít, megengedve a hangmérnöknek, hogy könnyedén hozzáigazítsa a beállítást a különféle szükséges konfigurációkhoz a terepen. A csatornák kiosztása are a breeze.
All inputs are assignable, pre- or post-fade to its eight output buses, left/right plus Aux 1-6.
Minden gyakori sampling rate-et támogat, beleértve a 192 kHz-et akár 6 sávra is.
6-Series Gets a Wingman
A Wingman vezeték nélküli távirányítási opció egy ingyenesen letölthető alkalmazás a 6-os sorozatú keverőkhöz és rögzítőkhöz, amely a megfelelő WM-Connect Bluetooth Smart USB eszközzel párosítva átláthatóvá teszi nagyobb kijelzőjű iOS telefonokon és tablet-eken a metering-et és a timecode-jelzést. A Wingman-nel a hangmérnök képes a következőkre:
- View meters, timecode, and frame rate
- Start and stop recordings
- Arm, disarm, and name tracks
- Edit a take’s metadata
- Circle takes and set False takes
- Manage, create, and email sound reports
PowerSafe™

CL-12
Az opcionális CL-12 linear fader controller jelentősen kiterjeszti a 688 keverési adottságait. A CL-12-vel a 688 kap egy 3-band parametric equalizer-t mind a 12 bemenetéhez, továbbá gyors elérést a SuperSlot™ vezetéknélküli vevő adataihoz (SL-6-tal való használatkor) és a MixAssist™ auto-mix monitoring-ot. A LED kijelző kombinálva a tapintható vezérléssel, beleértve a megvilágított gombokat és a 12 könnyen használható manuális fader-t, javítja a teljes keverési élményt.
A CL-12 kétféle típusban rendelhető: Az egyik a sztenderd CL-12, amelyet arra terveztek, hogy egy sima és tartós keverő felület legyen masszív, fekete, alumínium oldalpanelekkel, a másik pedig a CL-12 Alaia hihetetlenül sima, Penny & Giles fader-ekkel és csodálatos, keményfa oldalpanelekkel.
SL-6
Beépített RF jel elosztásával a SL-6 csökkenti a többszörös antennahasználat igényét, miközben NP1 elem szlotja, USB töltő portja, két 12 V isolated kimenete, és két non-isolated direkt elem kimenete tápellátást biztosít a perifériás eszközök számára.
CL-6
Amikor a CL-6-ot rögzítik a 688-hoz, a 688 mini fader-jei, amelyek eredetileg a 7-12 csatornákhoz voltak rendelve, switch to trim controls.
Third-Party Remote Control
A vezeték nélküli távirányítással harmadik fél rendszerein keresztül lehetőség nyílik a következőkre:
- Elindítani és leállítani a felvételt
- Arm and name tracks
- Edit a take’s metadata
- Circle takes and set False takes
- Megnézni, továbbítani és fogadni timecode-ot
- Create sound reports
